Alpaca Walking

Welcome to Hensting Alpacas

What a great way to enjoy yourself! Come and meet our alpaca at Hensting Alpacas in Hampshire.  We have over 50 alpacas on our farm and half of them are fully trained and ready for you to walk. We are located in Otterbourne Eastleigh Hampshire.  We are lucky to have the beautiful river Itchen and the River Navigation running parallel with each other along the length of our land.  Here you will see Kingfishers, Otters (on occasion) Salmon in January and of course something totally unusual ALPACAS Alpaca Walking is the new craze and we have had over 8,000 people to our farm over the last 4 years and the numbers are increasing all the time.  We walk our alpacas at set times of the day normally 10am to 12pm and people come from all over London Basingstoke Kent and Sussex literally from all over the whole of the UK.  On Arrival you will be escorted to your parking space by a member of the Hensting team, once parked and on arrival of all the gusts you will be taken down to the secure enclosure and main gates will be closed leaving your property nice safe and secure.  A little walk down to the secondary gates were you will be greeted and all shoes and boots dipped in a tray of disinfectant takes care of the bio security. Then you will enjoy an interesting factual talk about the alpacas for about 15 minutes after-witch a quick loo stop and top up with water and your off to meet the alpacas. The alpacas will be there to greet you and all haltered up ready for the walk.  And then the fun starts, each alpaca will be handed our to his new owner for the walk. The walk is suitable for young or old and is at a very slow pace with lots of stops for pictures and feeding the alpacas.
